The Primary School is a co-educational school providing an international education in English for children from the age of six to eleven. The school prepares children academically and emotionally for entrance to secondary school, directing their enthusiasm to good work habits and self-discipline. |
The school follows the Cambridge Primary Programme for English, Mathematics and Science. A topic-based approach is used for social studies to give a framework to pupil’s learning, drawing together different experiences under a single theme. French, Music, Swimming, Tennis, Dance and Games are also included and computers are used in a cross curricular manner. |
The school day begins at 08:00 and finishes at 14:45 with a lunch break 12:00 – 13:15.
The curriculum is broadly based, with a balance between academic and aesthetic subjects to give opportunity for the development of attitudes, concepts, skills and knowledge. |
We value not only academic success but encourage talent of all kinds whether in academic studies, art, drama, music or games, and take the position that the child who is kind and helpful, who possesses a positive attitude to school life and other children, is considered every bit as worthwhile as the brilliant scholar, artist or athlete. |
Homework is an integral part of the educational process.
Children have the opportunity to participate in extra curricular activities from 15:00 - 16:00. |
