Requirements for university entrance differ depending on where the university is.

 

In Britain entry requirements are based on a points system:

● a pass at “A” Level is worth a specified number of points dependent upon grade.

● IGCSE English or mathematics is often a requirement.

 

Student visa requirements for Britain include: The definite offer of

a place at a university and guaranteed financial support for

payment of course fees and accommodation. Information on

specific universities is available on the internet.

 

In other parts of the world Cambridge International “A” level

examinations are recognised as fulfilling entry requirements for

universities in Europe, Asia, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and The Middle East.

 

Requirements for most universities usually include:

· a completed application form.

· a recommendation from the school.

· an autobiographical essay.

 

In the USA requirements for entry include:

· High School Diploma or equivalent,

· Qualification in English, e.g. TOFEL or IGCSE English as a Second Language

· SAT 1 or/and SAT 2

 

Examples of entry requirements:

 

Yale University recognises Cambridge International A levels as fulfilling entry requirements and awards credits for A level grades A or B. Completed A level results may be used as a substitute for SAT II Subject Tests on a one for one basis.

 

M.I.T. recognises Cambridge International A levels as fulfilling entry requirements, awarding between 9 and 12 credits for A level grades A or B in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Humanities, and Social Sciences.

 

Visa requirements for USA include: The definite offer of a place at a university and guaranteed financial support for payment of course fees and accommodation.

 

SAT Program

The school is a registered test centre for SAT 1 and 2. This academic year the school will administer tests in: January, and May.
