Art Exhibition at the Chinese Cultural Centre

On Wednesday, September 19, 2018, my class and I went to the Chinese Cultural Centre by taking the school bus. We went so we could learn about Chinese art and meet artists from China. We saw different Chinese paintings with unique themes. I really enjoyed it. We met the artists and we asked them many questions. There was only one female artist at the place, and she felt proud to represent female Chinese artists. We saw a painting of a saxophone which I thought was beautiful! What a wonderful field trip!

My friends in Years 4 and 5, Mrs. Afolabi and I went on a field trip to the Chinese Cultural Centre by bus, driven by Mr. Julien. We went there to see all the art work they were displaying. We arrived there at 9:15 a.m. and we came back to school at 11:00 a.m.
When we got there, a man named Eric Ahouansou acted as our guide and translator. What really fascinated me were their themes, for example: nature (portrait of people at the countryside), landscapes, masquerades and slavery. Our guide, Eric Ahouansou, also showed us his own portrait of musical instruments. What I really appreciate is the mixture of Chinese and Beninese art.
