Children with heart problems will benefit from the E.I.S. donation

Cyrian Kedowide, Year 10

I was accompanied by Mrs. Aïcha and Mrs. Carsky with some of my classmates to give my full support to Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque through our donation of money raised at this year’s School Fair.  We were wonderfully welcomed by two ladies – representatives of the organisation.  My heart suddenly jumped, but I didn’t have a clue why.

We started our small reunion by watching an array of films which made me thankful for what I have.  Throughout these films, I could see hidden agony in the faces of these children who were born with heart problems.  Thanks to the people dedicated to help these children, they wake up and go out of the hospital happy and healthy a while later.

Afterwards, the MCC representatives took us to the living room where we had a small chat about previous cases of children who had gone to Paris for surgeries.  It was shocking and sad, but I was controlling my feelings after thanking God for giving me everything I have and praying for these children.

Finally, we were offered refreshments to thank us again for our dedication and help for those who are in need.  I am honestly grateful for everything around me and I give my full support to Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque.

Aya Kafal, Year 10

On Monday, 7th of May 2018, I got the chance to go to La Maison Rouge.  I was accompanied by Mrs. Carsky, Mrs. Aïcha and three other students from my class. I learned that Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque allows children from around the world who suffer from cardiac malformation to travel to France to undergo heart surgery.  These children are welcomed to France by foster families who volunteer to take care of them.  The MCC organises charity events regularly to raise money for the heart surgeries.  Their main goal is to be able to cure children from poor countries who suffer from heart conditions and cannot get medical care.

This MCC was created by Professor Francine Leca in 1996.  She is an amazing woman who has saved hundreds of lives – even more.  Heart operations are performed every week. Dr. Francine Leca is an astounding woman who gives of herself and keeps on giving.  I fully support all that MCC does.
