Delicious Butter Made By Years 1 and 2 Pupils

Have you ever wondered how butter is made? Well, on Friday the 15th of November 2019, Years 1 and 2 pupils of The English International School, Benin explored the process of butter production from cow’s milk cream. The children took turns in whipping the liquid milk cream and observed the liquid thicken at first, then fats began to separate from the liquid. 

It was an exciting experience as the pupils observed and saw the formation of buttery yellow solids and a cloudy liquid appear!

We ate our butter with biscuits. Yummy!

On 20th February 2020, Capoeira’s 10th anniversary at E.I.S. was celebrated with the visit of alumni capoeirists.

On Valentine’s Day, 14th February, Years 3 and 4 shared love and friendship with the children at Segbeya School for the Blind. According to Ayan Pati (Year 4), “It was the best way to celebrate Valentine’s Day.”

Abigael Meto (Year 12) and Andrea El Hajj (Year 13) presented the Middle and Upper Schools’ International Day celebration on 31st January.
