Making Pizza
Miss Jasmine took us for a walk to Mamma Mia. When we got there we got some flour, oil, salt, water and carbonated soda. We made a big circle with all these things on the table and a lady mixed it together to make dough.
The dough was very gooey and it stuck to the lady’s hands. She made it into a ball and put it in a bowl. The dough would grow and fill the bowl. She put flour on the table and she plopped out some dough on top.
She rolled it with a rolling pin very quickly until it was flat and very big. The lady let us touch the dough. It stuck to our fingers and was gooey and sticky.
She put the dough on a big metal tray. We put tomato sauce on the flat dough and spread it around. We sprinkled cheese over the middle and everywhere. Then everyone put olives all over the pizza.
The lady took it away to cook it. While the pizza was cooking we sat down and did some drawing. I made a picture of a pizza and showed it to Miss Jasmine. Then the lady brought the pizza out.
We did not need knives and forks because we used our hands to eat it. The pizza was very, very tasty and I ate my piece all up.
The lady brought another pizza out and we all had another piece. I had three pieces and was full. It was fun to see how to make pizza but it was more fun to eat it.
