Vaibhav Iyer will represent E.I.S. this summer in Cambridge as a Global Scholar

Year 12 student, Vaibhav Iyer was nominated for Immerse Education's Global Scholars 2019 Programme and was successfully awarded a scholarship. Immerse Education is an award-winning provider of academic programmes in the United Kingdom. Programmes take place in inspirational and prestigious locations, including colleges of Cambridge University, and offer educational experiences with diverse and enriching curricula. All programmes are designed by expert, experienced tutors, which include some of the brightest minds from some of the world's leading universities.

Vaibhav Iyer, last year's winner of the E.I.S. Community Service Prize, has attended E.I.S. since he was in Year One (2007). He is a high performing, well-rounded student who has, over the years, taken on leadership roles and actively engaged in activities such as tennis, capoeira, piano playing and soccer. Following completion of his A-level course next year, Vaibhav plans to begin a course of university studies in the field of medicine. Vaibhav speaks English, Hindi and French. We are proud of him and know that he will represent E.I.S. well as a Global Scholar this summer in Cambridge, U.K.

On 20th February 2020, Capoeira’s 10th anniversary at E.I.S. was celebrated with the visit of alumni capoeirists.

On Valentine’s Day, 14th February, Years 3 and 4 shared love and friendship with the children at Segbeya School for the Blind. According to Ayan Pati (Year 4), “It was the best way to celebrate Valentine’s Day.”

Abigael Meto (Year 12) and Andrea El Hajj (Year 13) presented the Middle and Upper Schools’ International Day celebration on 31st January.

EIS students have an opportunity to weigh in on important issues concerning the education of girls in Benin during a Zonta Club Conference / Debate.
