Vaibhav Iyer, last year's winner of the E.I.S. Community Service Prize, has attended E.I.S. since he was in Year One (2007). He is a high performing, well-rounded student who has, over the years, taken on leadership roles and actively engaged in activities such as tennis, capoeira, piano playing and soccer. Following completion of his A-level course next year, Vaibhav plans to begin a course of university studies in the field of medicine. Vaibhav speaks English, Hindi and French. We are proud of him and know that he will represent E.I.S. well as a Global Scholar this summer in Cambridge, U.K.
Inspired by their Global Perspectives topic on the importance of Community Service, Year 6 decided to focus on serving their own school community through a cleaning project.
On Saturday, 21st November, several children represented E.I.S. splendidly at the Batizado held at the Capoeira Centre in Haie Vive. Certain children were inspired to write about their experience in the practice of this Afro-Brazilian martial art/dance.
World Food Day was marked in school with good thought, reflection and plans for action.
The 2019 - 2020 E.I.S. Yearbook is ready to download.
