Valentine’s Day Fundraiser
On Thursday the 14th, we held our Valentine’s Day fundraiser and it was a great success thanks to you all. In the weeks and days running up to Valentine’s Day, we collected scores of clothes, shoes, toys, bags, books and food items, and enough money to buy bags and bags of diapers. The gifts of fake roses, brownies, little packets of homemade cookies, calligraphed love letters, and bouquets of seasonal flowers turned out brilliant! Throughout the course of the day we were able to deliver the purchased gifts to all the many classes of the school, and even to some of the teachers.
We are now working on a date to meet with the women of the charity, Neighbour’s Keepers, and distribute the donations accordingly. We are also planning a trip to the CNHU hospital to meet the new mothers and babies there, and give out the diapers on your behalf. We will make sure to keep you updated with these proceedings.
We would like to thank again all the students and teachers that participated in the fundraiser, and aided our work. We thank the parents that donated so much. The spirit of love was almost tangible!
