In the orange lamp experiment, the stem of the orange acts as the wick for the oil and the light it gives can actually last 6-8 hours. The orange peel lamp not only gives light, but also gives out a nice fragrance.

In the invisible ink experiment, secret messages can be written using lemon or lime juice (acting as ink) and a clothing iron. When the acid in the lemon juice is exposed to heat, it turns to a different colour and messages become visible.

E.I.S. Celebrates International Women's Day
On 8th March, declarations of historic achievements of women, discussions of gender parity issues and appreciation of the essential roles women play in all aspects of life filled classrooms at all levels. Year 3 celebrated International Women's Day with poetry.
Years 4 and 5 visit to the Drabo Restored Forest
Years 4 and 5 enjoyed an educational visit to the Drabo Restored Forest, which includes about 600 species of plants and constitutes a sanctuary for the endangered red-bellied monkey.
