Year Two children get out and about in Cotonou

Tahirah Adda - Year 2 Field trip to the Vegetable Garden

On Tuesday, we went to visit the vegetable garden. It was very hot in the garden, and we all had to wear hats to protect us from the sun. At the garden, we saw carrots and tomatoes. We also saw some lettuce and some cucumbers. The gardener was very nice, and he showed us how to pluck the vegetables. We helped him pluck the carrots, which we washed and took home. All my friends took home vegetables for their families.

Dhakshin Rajesh Kumar - Amazon Statue

Today we went to the Amazon statue in Cotonou. Mrs. Pinki told us that the statue is about a warrior woman. It is red-gold in colour, and it is very big. There were a lot of people there. We climbed on the statue’s leg and took pictures together. I played with my friends, and we had a lot of fun.

Emilie Seblin - Caramel Bakery

Today we went on a really cool field trip to Caramel bakery. We got to see how they make yummy cakes and croissants. When we first got there, we watched the baker bake. Then we helped decorate the cakes with icing. We ate the cakes and croissants, and enjoyed the day.
