Years 3 and 4 'go back to nature'

Khadijah Sow, Year 4

On Monday, I went to a village in Calavi. We went on a coach. I sat next to Priyanshi and Vanya.

We got to the farm after a fifty minute drive.

First we saw cassava plants . It was smelly when we went to see the goats. All of us were scared, but Eva and Michael were not. They were touching the goats.

Afterwards, we washed our hands and ate our snacks. Then we went back to see plants. We saw different plants like bananas, coconut, paw paw, eggplant, orange, bitter leaf etc. We picked some tomatoes.

My favorite was when we saw a tiny mouse. I noticed that the countryside was very windy and we were told that the farm uses only poo-poo from animals for the plants. Lastly, we washed our hands and went back to the coach. This time I sat next to Eva and Tiana. Since we were tired, we slept.

It was a great visit. I would like to go to the countryside again!

International Day is when people from different countries, or continents, represent their country.

Every year EIS produces a Shakespeare play. This year's production was 'The Tempest' and those of us who were able to attend Year 10's production experienced a real treat.
