Dear Parents,

Our second term at school is ‘rolling along,’ and we will soon come to the month of March. There are several special days to acknowledge and celebrate in March. Teachers will promote awareness of global issues in classes and talk about cultural festivals of the month. Looking ahead to what comes up in March, we acknowledge the following:

International Women’s Day on 8th March – the 2024 theme is Inspire Inclusion

Ramadan begins on 10th March

World Water Day on 22nd March – the 2024 theme is Water For Peace

Holi on 25th March

Model United Nations

The fourth edition of the E.I.S. MUN Summit, held on Friday, 23rd February at the Hotel Casa Cielo, was a success. The 2024 theme was Interplanetary Privatisation in Relation to Arms and Climate Changing Capabilities. Years 10–13 students had the opportunity to sharpen their skills in diplomacy, conflict resolution and public speaking as they deepened their understanding of global affairs through research and collaboration.
