As we approach the end of the first term of the school year, we’d like to thank you for your support and extend our compliments of the season.
Please consider the following information and reminders for your diaries:
Interschool Debate Contest
We are pleased to announce that our Lower and Upper Schools, having won in the first phase of the Interschool Debate Contest, will return to the American Cultural Centre in February for the semi-finals. We are proud of all of our students who participated in this event.
Collection basket for the needy
As we think of those who are not as fortunate as we are, we prepare items to donate to a local orphanage / alternative school. If you have good quality used clothes or toys, please gather them together to bring to school. Baskets will be placed in front of the administrative building and at the Middle School for collection.
In the spirit of the season, and in keeping with our tradition of giving presents at this time, each student in the Middle and Upper Schools is asked to bring a present to give to another student in their class. The class teachers will organise how the gifts will be distributed. An amount of 5,000 FCFA is suggested. Presents should be brought to school by Monday, 2nd December.
In the Lower School and Pre-School, class teachers will inform parents directly of how present-giving will be handled. Kindly await further notice on this from your child’s class teacher.
Years 4 and 5 Performance – Friday, 6th December 2013, 18:00
In the spirit of the Christmas season, Years 4 & 5 will perform a Nativity play in the Lower School Garden. The running time of the performance will be just under one hour. We look forward to seeing you there.
Reports Out and Child Progress Conferences
Reports will go out on Thursday, 5th December. Please note that the date of the Child ProgressConferences has been changed to Monday, 9th December (due to the performance on the 6th). Lower and Middle School teachers will send out appointment letters closer to the date. Upper School teachers will meet with parents in turn on the evening from 16:00 – 18:00.
