Greetings to all in the Chinese New Year of the Horse! I take the opportunity to extend more wishes of peace, good health and prosperity.
As the year begins to ‘roll along,’ I would also like to remind you of my availability to meet with parents, should any questions or concerns arise. If you wish to meet, kindly call the school secretary to arrange an appointment. The teachers and I welcome your input and feedback.
Please note the following information and upcoming events:
Happy Spring Festival / Chinese New Year
The Chinese Cultural Centre has organized fun-filled events to celebrate the Year of the Horse. Please consult the schedule posted on boards at school or in front of the Chinese Cultural Centre.
St. Valentine’s Day Parties – Thursday, 13th February
The Lower and Middle Schools will celebrate during the school day and the Upper School will enjoy their evening event from 19:00 – 21:00.
There will be no classes on Friday, 14th February for our half-term break. Classes will resume on Monday, 17th February.
School Fair – Saturday, 22nd March 2014, 16:00 – 19:00 on the School Field
The time is here to request raffle (tombola) prizes from local restaurants, boutiques, vendors, etc. and plan the delicious dishes which will be brought out on the day. Last year’s fair was a big success, and we look forward to more of the same and more for this year. Mrs. Maria Collins will begin organizing the event by sending out forms next week to be filled in so that you can indicate the areas in which you would like to help.
There have been some late pick-ups at the end of the school day. If your child is not enrolled in an After-School Activity, he/she should be picked up promptly at 2:45 p.m.After-School Activities end at 4:00 p.m., so drivers should arrive just before this time. We count on your consideration towards our teaching staff and activity instructors.
