I would like to extend a warm welcome back to the entire school community and give my wishes for peace and good health in the New Year. We have a few new school families to whom I extend words of welcome and wishes for success in their new situations.

School Fair and Yearbook Organizational Meeting – Monday, 12th January, 15:00
The meeting to set up committees and begin organizing both activities will be held in Years 4 and 5 classroom. We look forward to your active participation and welcome your creative ideas.
American Cultural Centre Interschool Debate Contest Semi-Finals
Our teams of students from the lower, middle and upper schools are preparing to meet their opponents at this event on Wednesday, 14th January. We wish them good luck and much success.
These examinations for Years 11, 12 and 13 students will take place during the week of 19th January. We count on the cooperation of all at school during this time to provide support and encouragement to their fellow students. More detailed information will be forthcoming to those involved.
Capoeira began this week and all other activities will start next week. Please remember that payment should bemade at the start of the term. You may consult the school website for details of the activities on offer, as well as instructors’ contact numbers. Kindly make sure that your child is picked up promptly after activities at 4:00 p.m. Younger siblings should not be left to wait around for older siblings participating in activities.
We have been pleased to see several of our EIS alumni returning to school to visit and share their experiences and memories with teachers and students. We are proud of how well our alumni are doing in their various careers and institutes of higher learning. We wish them continued success in their endeavours.
We are in the process of setting up a communication tree to enable more effective dissemination of emergency information, if needed. Please see your child’s class teacher if you wish to volunteer as room parent for the communication network.
