As we approach the mid-point in our first term, please note the following information:
In November we will start our Coffee Mornings for this academic year. Lower School parents will be invited in at some point during the year for an intimate and informal sharing of coffee, tea, cakes and conversation. Invitations will be sent out by class, starting with pre-school.
World Food Day
FAO celebrates World Food Day each year on 16th October to commemorate the founding of the Organization in 1945. The 2017 theme is: Change the future of migration. Invest in food security and rural development. We will mark the day in school through information sharing, writing poems and reports, and various age-appropriate activities.
Halloween Parties – Tuesday 24th October
Halloween will be celebrated in school on Tuesday, 24th October. Pizza and snacks will be provided, so the children will not need to bring lunch on that day. Contributions of desserts and baked items are always welcome. Class teachers will provide further information of the celebration in each class.
Our half-term break will begin on Wednesday, 25th October. We will return to school on Monday, 6th November.
Lower School children are to be commended on their improved effort in keeping up with their belongings. We ask that parents help them maintain their progress by labelling (name tagging) their lunch and school bags, clothing and towels.
Thank you for your cooperation.
