With two weeks remaining until school closes for the summer holiday, we inform you of the following:
Reports Out and Child Progress Conferences – 22nd and 23rd June
Reports will be sent home with children on Thursday, 22nd June and parents will meet with teachers on Friday, 23rd June. Teachers will arrange appointment times next week.
Cambridge International Examinations have informed us that Year 6 and Year 9 Checkpoint certificates and reports will not be sent out until late July. They have stated, however, that our Examinations Officer, Mr. Armand Sossouhounto, will be able to access the digital feedback on-line as of 22nd June. Once accessed, he shall be able to print out the downloaded feedback which teachers will present to parents and students. Cambridge IGCSE and AS/A-level results will be released in August, as usual. The results of the internally monitored Cambridge Progression Tests for years 3 – 5 and 7 - 8 in English, Mathematics and Science will be discussed at Child Progress Conferences on 23rd June.
Sports Day – Wednesday, 28th June
Children in their houses of Einstein, Newton and Mandela, will compete in fun races and games. More information will be forthcoming from class teachers.
Summer Parties – Thursday, 29th June
Parties to celebrate the end of the school year will be held during the school day. Lunch will be provided by the school. Contributions of savoury or sweet finger food are welcome.
Last Day of Term / Prize Giving – Friday, 30th June, Institut Français Paillote
The 30th of June is the official last day of school. We end on this day with a farewell ceremony (from 10:00 – 11:30), during which we reflect on the academic year and award prizes. On that day, we will ask parents to kindly take their children directly to the Institut Français by 9:45. I would like to ask parents to please inform teachers if, for certain reasons, they will need to travel before the final day.
The school calendar for Academic Year 2017 – 2018 is out and should be consulted when making travel plans. Please note that the next academic year will begin on Thursday, 14th September 2017.
Reminder: Re-inscription is necessary if you wish to guarantee a place for your child and to help us plan well for the upcoming academic year.
Thank you for your cooperation.
