Dear Parents,

Today is World Teachers’ Day. We honour and appreciate our teachers at E.I.S. and reflect on the many ways in which teachers in our past have had an impact on our lives.

It is fair to say, at this point, that the academic year 2023 – 2024 is ‘in full swing.’ We once again welcome new families who have joined us. Teachers look forward to meeting you at the Information Session, to be held on the afternoon of Monday, 9th October in your child’s classroom. Please note the times for the different classes.

Playschool and Nursery: 12:00 – 12:30

Reception – Year 5: 15:00 – 15:30

Year 6 – Year 11: 15:30 – 16:00

At these sessions, teachers will explain the curriculum and answer questions about classroom routines, expectations and goals. If you are unable to attend this event, but would like to meet with your child’s teacher (either in person or virtually), kindly contact the school secretary to set up an appointment. We also encourage you to review the Parents’ Handbook, if you have not already done so.

We appreciate your consideration of teachers’ busy work schedules and the necessity for them to remain attentive to pupils’ needs during school hours. We thank you for your cooperation in making sure that the telephone numbers which you have given to school are working numbers, should we need to contact you in the event of an emergency.

After-School Activities

After-School Activities run from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. and children should be picked up promptly. Children who are not engaged in activities must be picked up from school at 14:45.
