We have made a fine start to the third school term, which promises to be a busy and exciting one. A few new families have joined us, and we heartily welcome the children and parents to our school community.
Please note the following April information and events for your diaries:
Swimming Gala Awards
We will honour our Swimming Gala medal winners during the Lower School and Middle/Upper School assemblies on Tuesday, 11th April (8:00) and Friday, 14th April (8:00), respectively.
Public Holiday – Monday, 17th April: School will be closed on Easter Monday.
Earth Day – Saturday, 22nd April
This year, 2017, marks the 47th anniversary of Earth Day, which is celebrated world-wide. Since Earth Day falls on a Saturday this year, we will observe the day in school on Friday, 21st April with poetry readings, environmental activities, crafts, displays and discussion. We ask that children come into school on the day dressed in shades of green and brown, to symbolize our solidarity with environmental protection. This year’s theme is: Environmental and Climate Literacy.
Cambridge Checkpoint Examinations – 25th, 26th and 27th April
These examinations for Years 6 and 9 are externally moderated and the results sent into school from the U.K. before the end of the academic year.
Term three after-school activities begin next week. Activity fees (listed on the website and paid to the activity instructors) are due at the start of the term. Children who are not engaged in activities must be promptly picked up at the end of the school day (14:45).
Thank you for your cooperation.
